WOO HOO
Today is the first day of Central PA Festival of the Arts, and is the beginning of what should be a fairly entertaining week. Not necessarily because of the festival itself but of the things that generally accompany the week here in central Bumfuck Pennsylvania.
I finally got my shit together last week and submitted two photographs to be in a group show on campus, my particular prints are in the Patterson Building (I think... I really should check up on them.) but the show spreads itself between the Patterson gallery and the Zoller Cafe.
Yesterday was lovely, I received a pretty little package in the mail. (thanks so much T). Coffee + two baked delicious cookie brownie edible delights. If anyone who is reading this spots a limping brunette stumbling around the festival baked out of her tree this package is likely to blame.

Today at the arts festival is Kids Day, a day where every young child with dreams of a future as an artist or entrepreneur gets to set up a stand with their very own lumpy handmade Sculpy paperweights. This day offers the youth of centre county to perfect their best puppy eyes and collect the cash from the elderly women that shuffle past their tables.
Actually I can't be too judgemental about kids day. It's adorable. And I used to be so jealous of my best friend Molly's stand (back in the days of stuffed animals and play mobile ...)
Molly and Eva & Older..... Eva and Molly Joy
During Arts Festival the atmosphere of this college town seems to change, PENN STATE institution for football and heavy drinking morphs a little bit into a lively happy music infused town. The college seems to come back for this week, making the usually abandoned summer streets fill up again with young folks, craft booths, and copious amounts of hard achohol.
